Nato in defence of peace: 2016 and beyond
Carpentier is since July 2015 in charge of economic security policies in France. He has been appointed Commissioner for Strategic Information and Economic Security in January 2016.
Previously he headed TRACFIN, the French Financial Intelligence Unit (2008-2015). He also served as legal counsel to APE, the Agency in charge of state-owned companies. Throughout his career, he specialized in fighting economic and financial crimes, including as a prosecutor.
In addition to his government and judiciary positions, he also engaged in various teaching and training activities.
