Nato in defence of peace: 2016 and beyond
On 1 November 2014, Hans de Vries became head of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), residing under the Cyber Security Department of the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism. Hans has worked for the central government since 2002, most recently for the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, where he served as head of the ICT Management Division and head of Operational Management Coordination. In recent years he has worked in ICT security at interministerial and international level. Hans studied law at Leiden University and began his career in the private sector, working for Dutch department store chain Vroom & Dreesmann. In his current position, Hans is also the Deputy Director Cyber Security.
